31 Weeks

31 Weeks
How far along? 31 weeks... only 9 weeks to go!! Single digit countdown! Woo hoo!
Total weight gain: 20 lb- I hit this milestone at my Dr. office this week... but at least I only have 9 more weeks! :)
Maternity clothes: Anything big and stretchy... haha! I went looking around at Target and LOVED some of the "normal sized" clothes but knew I shouldn't even try them on because they wouldn't fit. Haha! I will love being able to fit into non-maternity clothes after Caroline is born and after that baby weight comes off!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Same as before... waking up 2-3 times a night to turn over or use the restroom. I have been more hot at night so I have been freezing Blake out recently. I told him it will probably only get worse from here. Haha!
Best moment this week: Getting lots of projects done in Caroline's room!! My parents came over this weekend and stayed Friday night. Friday and Saturday we worked on making curtains, a cornice board, and covering a lamp shade. Here are some pictures of our projects!
 The plain window before...
After!!! :) Curtains made from painter's drop cloth (from Home Depot)! Blake and Dad made the cornice board and Mom and I covered it (with the help of Dad using the staple gun). I LOVE IT!
Up close of the cornice board. We inserted a piece of the curtain material with her monogram in the middle of the cornice board to tie it all together. I did the monogramming and sewing of the cornice board material and mom sewed the curtains. Team work!
 Final product with the lamp!
Here is an up close of the lamp we covered. The fabric coordinates with the paisley pattern on her bedding! Perfect!

Miss Anything? Turning over in bed easily... As funny as it may seem, this has gotten more and more difficult. Haha! I never realized how hard this would be. I can't wait to see how much harder it is going to get over the next 9 weeks!
Movement: I sometimes say she is doing karate because that is really what it feels like! She also LOVES to stretch out. I can feel her back on one side of my stomach and her feet on the other side. I can't wait to see her stretch like that after she is born and know that is what I was feeling inside too! Crazy thought...
Food cravings: Update on the pickled okra... I found some!!! Woo hoo!! I also had a craving for ice cream sandwiches. I know these are so gross together, but by themselves... I love them both!! I have been enjoying them lots this week! :)
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Gender: Girl!!
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: Getting hot when I would normally be comfortable or cold. It was cooler at night this week so we had our back door open and the fan on in our living room. Blake had a blanket over his whole body and was so cold and I was sitting in shorts and a t-shirt and was comfy. Haha! We have switched roles for a little while.
Belly button in or out? Out
Wedding rings on or off? Off
Looking forward to: We are going to Mobile this weekend because James Robert, Leslie, and Mattingly will be in town! Yay!! This will be Blake's first time meeting her, and I know he will be so in love as soon as he sees her! :)

30 Weeks

30 Weeks
How far along? 30 weeks (forgot to take a picture this week... I promise to remember next week!)
Total weight gain: 17lb
Maternity clothes: I am loving my gauchos!! They are capris and super stretchy so they are the most comfortable thing to wear now.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I have been sleeping pretty well... I wake up a few times a night to turn over or use the restroom but nothing too bad.
Best moment this week: We went to a great church on Sunday here in Milton that we really enjoyed. We met a really nice couple in Sunday School that we sat with during church. After church, they invited us to go out to eat with them! It was such a simple thing that meant so much to me... more than they will probably ever know. We still want to visit a few other churches, but we really enjoyed the fellowship and teaching at church this week.
Miss anything? Simple things... like being able to roll over in bed easily, not running into things with my belly, and having more energy. It's those little things that you don't really appreciate until after you are pregnant and realize how easy some things were before having a big belly. Haha!
Movement: All the time!! She now gets the hiccups ALL the time too! It is so funny! She got them 3 times in one day this week. Love feeling her move around all the time!
Food cravings: I have been wanting some pickled okra... I know that is so random and weird, and I still haven't gotten any! I am definitely going to search for it this next week at the grocery store!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Gender: Girl!!
Labor signs: No. I have noticed the braxton hicks contractions more but it is always just random contractions that don't hurt at all. Blake said the other day when I was having one, "Are labor contractions going to hurt worse than this?" I just laughed and said... "These don't even hurt!! I can't imagine what real contractions are going to feel like!" Only 10 weeks until Caroline's due date... getting a little more anxious about the delivery part of pregnancy.
Symptoms: Nothing out of the ordinary for me. I have been getting "restless legs" at night more often and waking up with leg cramps some.
Belly button in or out? Same with half out and half flat right now... Haha!
Wedding rings on or off? Off
Looking forward to: Mom and Dad are coming over to help make curtains and a cornice board for Caroline's room. I can't wait to post pictures next week to make the big reveal!! Her room is coming together so nicely! Now I mainly just have to decide where I want everything on the wall and hang it all. Can't believe we are so close to meeting our baby girl!

29 Weeks

29 Weeks

How far along? 29 weeks
Total weight gain: 16lb
Maternity clothes: One pair of my maternity jeans are now getting a little too tight around the waist... oh goodness! And I still have 2 1/2 months to go! Haha! But I still have some stretchy capris and shorts that fit nicely so they will be getting lots of use now!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I slept much better this week than last! I was in Mobile most of the week for Easter weekend and because Blake was out of town... so having a queen size bed was incredible!! :)
Best moment this week: My niece Mattingly was born!!! Woo hoo!!! Being an aunt is the greatest!! I was able to go with my parents to Atlanta to be there when she was born. Leslie had a long, hard labor and was such a trooper! She did great!! Mattingly was born at 9:22 PM (i think...) on April 11. She was 7lb 9oz and 19.25 in. long... so perfect!! She is BEAUTIFUL and we could not be more thrilled to have her here and part of our family!!
Miss anything? I have had a pretty good week... not really missing anything right now.
Movement: She is a little jumping bean!! I love feeling her move every day... what an incredible blessing!
Food cravings: I have wanted sweets more than usual. We got lots of candy for Easter so I have had plenty of options for sweet stuff!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Gender: Girl!!
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: Just some discomfort from my belly stretching more. I hate to complain because I know that is just part of pregnancy... but it is more uncomfortable than I thought it would be before I was pregnant, but nothing too bad.
Belly button in or out? Top is out and the rest is flat and getting ready to pop out... eek!
Wedding rings on or off? Off
Looking forward to: Getting back to my husband and our home! It has been so nice to spend time with family in Mobile and Atlanta... but I miss being home with my hubby!

28 Weeks

28 Weeks
How far along? 28 weeks
Total weight gain: 16lb
Maternity clothes: I tried on some "normal" dresses to see if I could wear any of them for Easter. Sad to say that nothing really worked. So I went shopping at Target and found a dress that worked and this week's picture is from Easter Sunday. I also found a bathing suit there which I am really excited about!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: This past week was interesting sleep-wise. One night, I couldn't go to sleep at all! I was tossing and turning and felt like I was bothering Blake. Blake had just fallen asleep and I wanted to turn over... so instead of tossing and turning more, I made a pallet on the floor and slept there for a few hours. Haha! Then I woke up to use the restroom and got back in the bed and slept ok the rest of the night. Crazy sleep schedule...
Best moment this week: Elizabeth and her friends (Rye and Shelby) came and stayed with us this past weekend. They spent all Saturday and Sunday on the beach, and we joined them on Saturday! It was so much fun! You get a few funny looks being preggo on the beach, but I still had a good time! Another fun moment this week was that Caroline got the hiccups for the first time!! It was the funniest thing! I was sitting there and felt a little bump... then another little bump. I said to Blake- "I think she has the hiccups!!" My whole stomach bounced with every little hiccup! It was so cute! Now she gets them about once a day since then.
Miss anything? Fitting in normal clothes. My selection of clothes is getting smaller and smaller.
Movement: More and more every day! She is already a little wiggle worm!
Food cravings: Nothing I can think of...
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Gender: Girl!!
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: Hungry... a lot! haha! My belly is growing a lot more now too. It is crazy how fast this little girl is growing! :)
Belly button in or out? The top of my belly button is all out now... haha!
Wedding rings on or off? Off
Looking forward to: We are spending Easter weekend in Mobile! It will be fun to be with family and enjoy the weekend together.

27 Weeks

27 Weeks
Liz and two of her friends came and stayed with us the weekend after I turned 27 weeks, which was so fun!! We all hung out at the beach all day on Saturday, and it was a beautiful day! More on that in next week's post!
How far along? 27 weeks
Total weight gain: 16lb
Maternity clothes: From the picture above, you can't really tell... but I need a maternity bathing suit. This tankini is not maternity and if I get any bigger (which happens every day) it will not fit anymore!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Waking up lots to use the restroom... normal pregnancy complaint, I know.
Best moment this week: This past weekend, Blake and I went to a local recreational area that has 2 lakes and a nice walking trails in between the two. We walked the trail which was about 2.5 miles... quite a workout for a pregnant woman!! But I survived and we had so much fun just enjoying each other and enjoying nature! Another awesome moment this week was my ultrasound!! My mom got to come to the appointment because Blake had to work which was a very special time for us! Caroline is in the exact position I thought she was... She is head down, her back in on my right side, and her legs are on my left side. She is a little wiggle worm so who knows how long she will stay that way!
Miss anything? Being able to sit and be comfortable... haha! I feel like I have to just keep changing positions to stay comfortable. Laying on my left side is probably the most comfortable right now.
Movement: Of course! I love to just sit and feel my belly as she rolls and kicks around. It is such an amazing thing to be able to feel your baby moving inside!
Food cravings: Well... I got to fix my craving for Chinese food this week! After my Dr. appointment, mom and I went to the mall and Blake met us for lunch. We all had some yummy Teriyaki chicken, rice, and veggies! YUMMMM!!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Gender: Girl!!
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: Nothing out of the ordinary. Hungry, tired, restless... what's new? haha! :)
Belly button in or out? Half in/out... more out now though. Uh oh!
Wedding rings on or off? Off
Looking forward to: Elizabeth and her friends staying with us this weekend and going to the beach... should be a great weekend!

26 Weeks

26 Weeks
This picture was actually at 26 weeks and 3 days... I will tell more about where we were in the next post! :)
How far along? 26 weeks
Total weight gain: 16lb
Maternity clothes: I got my new shorts from Old Navy and I LOVE them!! I got a pair of navy blue and khaki ones so they should go with everything. The pants were not a good fit... so they will be shipped back.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Sleep has been ok recently. It seems that I wake up about every 3-4 hours just turning over or needing to use the restroom. I think this is God's way of preparing new moms for getting up every few hours for feedings... He is just starting earlier in my pregnancy than I thought He would. Haha!
Best moment this week: Blake started work this week!! He is enjoying it so far... hopefully that will continue! I got a lot of things unpacked in Caroline's room too. It makes it so much more real to now have her crib all set up and be able to walk in there and imagine her really being here! It is crazy!
Miss anything? I miss Panda's chinese in Auburn!! We haven't tried any chinese places around here yet... but it will be near impossible to make it has good as Panda's!
Movement: MORE than ever!! I think she has her feet on my left side because I always feel lots of "kicking" movements over there. We will see next week at my ultrasound! :)
Food cravings: Chinese... I haven't found a good place to satisfy this craving here yet.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No.
Gender: Girl!!
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: Just the "normal" fatigue. I am so thankful to not be working now and being able to sleep late, take a nap, and just rest as much as I need to throughout the day. I am so blessed that God has given Blake this job in His timing and that I am able to rest before Caroline makes her arrival this summer! Praise the Lord!
Belly button in or out? Half in/out
Wedding rings on or off? Off
Looking forward to: Having an ultrasound next week and meeting my Dr. for the first time. My appointment this week was just to talk with the nurse and go over history and stuff like that.
