25 Weeks

25 Weeks
How far along? 25 weeks
Total weight gain: 13lb. according to my scale at home
Maternity clothes: My mom ordered me some maternity pants and shorts from Old Navy so I can't wait for those to come in!! I hope they fit!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Sleeping good with my body pillow! Our bed seems smaller and smaller... haha!
Best moment this week: LOTS happened this week. First, we had our Auburn family baby shower on Sunday. We had such a great time and got lots of fun AU gear for Caroline! She is ready for football season!
The wonderful hostesses! :) Thank y'all so much!
Our parents... Love y'all so much!! We are so blessed to have such Godly examples of parenting to take into raising our own family. Thank y'all for being such loving moms and dads! :)

The next big event of the week was on Monday... Our big move to Milton, Florida!! I still can't believe we are living in Florida! We are so so excited about all the Lord has for us down here. Can't wait to share pictures of our townhouse once we get everything unpacked and settled! Stay tuned to a later post...

The last big event of the week was setting up Caroline's crib and putting all her bedding in it! Here is a quick picture we took after putting it all together... such bad lighting and shadow. But her bed looks beautiful!! :)
Miss anything? I have been busy unpacking and settling in to our new home so I haven't had much time to miss anything yet. But we are already missing being around our family and friends in Auburn. We are excited about meeting new people and starting our family here though!
Movement: She has been moving lots! It is such a funny thing to be able to feel her move and see her move on the outside. I could just lay around and watch and feel her jump all day long!
Food cravings: Seafood! The first 2 days we lived in Milton we ate seafood. It is so great being close to the water and close to great seafood! YUM!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really.
Gender: Girl!!
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: Just getting tired throughout the day. My back has been a little achy just from the bending over from packing boxes. My family and friends were great and didn't want me to lift a single box in moving. I, of course, can't stand just sitting around and not being involved. So I tried to just carry a few light things... against the will of my mother and friends. haha! But I survived and am enjoying my rest even more now!
Belly button in or out? Half in/out
Wedding rings on or off? Off... In search of a fake ring to wear. I feel so funny not wearing my rings and want people to know that I am married when they see me out shopping and stuff. haha!
Looking forward to: Going to my new doctor next week for the first time! Hoping that goes well! :)

24 Weeks

24 Weeks
{Viability}

How far along? 24 weeks- This is considered the medical "age of viability" when a baby born at this gestation can survive outside. It would obviously be a long hard road for a baby to be born this early, but it is medically possible. Praying my sweet Caroline stays cooking inside for MUCH longer! :)
Total weight gain: 9+ lbs... I haven't weighed myself in awhile
Maternity clothes: This picture shows the "belly band" I talked about before. That shirt is not a maternity shirt, but it was a little too short to wear without something underneath it. So just slip the belly band on and "voila!" :)
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I just haven't gotten enough sleep this past week. I have been so so busy packing, having 2 amazing showers with work and church friends, working, and so much more! I can't wait to sleep in sometime soon...
Best moment this week: My two baby showers!! My first was with work friends. We went to eat at Sinclair's in Montgomery and it was delish!! I am so blessed to have such amazing co-workers that I can also call friends. I know some of us will be friends the rest of our lives, and I could never have asked for more of a blessing from my job. I love what I do as a nurse and will miss being with these girls and experiencing the miracle of life with them each week. A special thanks to Rivers and April for making my baby shower and time at Baptist East so memorable. Love you both so much!!
L&D Group picture at the shower
All my amazing gifts for sweet Caroline!!
My second baby shower was with our Sunday school class. We have a weekly game night and potluck dinner, so we had the shower Tuesday night at Mike and Kelly's house. I was SHOCKED when I walked in to see this setup...
 The "Sweet Caroline Shoppe"
 The cupcakes and adorable banner!
It was even topped off with a candy bar... how perfect!
Blake and I have been incredibly blessed with wonderful friends through our church family and Sunday school class. I cannot say that enough. They showered us with love, prayers, and some wonderful gifts for Caroline. We are really going to miss all of them so much. I know we will never find friends to take their place, but I pray that God blesses us with a new church home with some great couples too. Thank you to everyone who made this shower and last game night so much fun for us!! We will always remember it!

Along with both of our showers, we had a shower for James Robert and Leslie in Mobile. My dad took all the pictures so I don't have any to upload... but we had a great time!! There were a ton of people there... family, high school friends, lifelong family friends. It was such a fun time of catching up with everyone and celebrating baby Mattingly! :)

Miss anything? Nothing I can think of right now...
Movement: Oh yes! Mom got to feel Miss Caroline move for the first time which was so fun!!
Food Cravings: Sour punch straws (strawberry flavored). I could eat a big pack of them every day. Seriously. Haha!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Whenever I let my stomach get too empty, I start to feel a little queasy... so I try to just snack a little in between meals so I don't starve.
Gender: Girl!
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: I have to get up to use the restroom at night... usually just once so it isn't too bad, but definitely something new with pregnancy.
Belly button in or out? Oh goodness.... It is starting to poke out a little at the top now! Eeek! I knew this would come but didn't think it would be for awhile. So I will call it a "half in/out" right now!
Wedding rings on or off? Off
Looking forward to: Moving to Milton on Monday!! So much to do before then... I better get busy!!

23 Weeks

23 Weeks
In the Rocky Mountain National Park
How far along? 23 weeks
Total weight gain: I haven't weighed myself in a few weeks so who knows...
Maternity clothes: I am having to wear more and more maternity shirts now. My normal shirts are getting short so I got a "belly band" that can go under a normal shirt and it just looks like a camisole under it.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I have enjoyed being out in Colorado and getting to sleep in some. Blake got up early with the kids every day before school so I could sleep in... he is the BEST! :)
Best moment this week: Getting to spend the whole week in Colorado. It has been such a nice getaway. It will probably be the last big trip Blake and I get to take before Caroline is born, so we have really enjoyed ourselves.
Miss anything? Even though it is nice to be on vacation for a little while, I have missed being home a little. I know that once we get back to Auburn it is going to busy busy getting ready to move though so I have enjoyed this vacation.
Movement: She is a little wiggle worm!! Caroline is so active in the morning when I first wake up! I look forward to feeling her every day... what an amazing feeling!
Food cravings: Ice cream! We made milkshakes this week, had some frozen yogurt, and some Ben and Jerry's. YUM!! I think I fixed that craving for a few weeks.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No... I have felt pretty good this week!
Gender: Girl!!
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: When I sit for a long time, I get this strange pain/pressure under the right side of my rib cage. I have found that walking around usually helps it or just stretching out. I have no idea what it is... but I hope it doesn't last the rest of my pregnancy
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? Off... Sad day!! For some reason (probably that my hands are just a little swollen), the skin under my rings has been extremely dry and peeling. I took off my rings and have been putting lotion on it like crazy and that seems to help. I am afraid they are going to have to stay off from now on though. I may have to find a fake ring so I don't look like a single pregnant lady! ;)
Looking forward to: Going to Milton and finding a place to live this weekend. Also, James Robert and Leslie have a shower in Mobile this weekend!! I can't wait to celebrate them and Baby Mattingly! We also have 3 baby showers next week! Busy busy week!

22 Weeks

22 Weeks
{No picture this week... It's been a busy week!!}

How far along? 22 weeks
Total weight gain: 9 lbs.
Maternity clothes: I got a new pair of black maternity pants with the full panel that covers my belly. They are really comfortable so I am sure I will get lots of use out of them.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I've been sleeping pretty good recently. I seem to always be exhausted and feel like I could sleep all day.
Best moment this week: Blake accepted his job offer in Milton, Florida!! We are so excited about starting our family together there!!
Miss anything? Being comfortable in any clothes or sitting or laying in any position. Sitting for long periods of time makes me really uncomfortable so I just try to get up and walk around and that seems to help.
Movement: All the time!! I love it! :)
Food Cravings: Nothing I can think of... just hungry all the time!
Anything making you queasy or sick: I survived this week's grocery trip without feeling queasy! Yay! :)
Gender: Girl!
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: I have to get up to use the restroom at night... usually just once so it isn't too bad, but definitely something new with pregnancy.
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to: Going to Colorado this next week to visit Blake's cousins and stay with them while their parents are out of town.
