24 Weeks
{Viability}
How far along? 24 weeks- This is considered the medical "age of viability" when a baby born at this gestation can survive outside. It would obviously be a long hard road for a baby to be born this early, but it is medically possible. Praying my sweet Caroline stays cooking inside for MUCH longer! :)
Total weight gain: 9+ lbs... I haven't weighed myself in awhile
Maternity clothes: This picture shows the "belly band" I talked about before. That shirt is not a maternity shirt, but it was a little too short to wear without something underneath it. So just slip the belly band on and "voila!" :)
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I just haven't gotten enough sleep this past week. I have been so so busy packing, having 2 amazing showers with work and church friends, working, and so much more! I can't wait to sleep in sometime soon...
Best moment this week: My two baby showers!! My first was with work friends. We went to eat at Sinclair's in Montgomery and it was delish!! I am so blessed to have such amazing co-workers that I can also call friends. I know some of us will be friends the rest of our lives, and I could never have asked for more of a blessing from my job. I love what I do as a nurse and will miss being with these girls and experiencing the miracle of life with them each week. A special thanks to Rivers and April for making my baby shower and time at Baptist East so memorable. Love you both so much!!
L&D Group picture at the shower
All my amazing gifts for sweet Caroline!!
My second baby shower was with our Sunday school class. We have a weekly game night and potluck dinner, so we had the shower Tuesday night at Mike and Kelly's house. I was SHOCKED when I walked in to see this setup...
The "Sweet Caroline Shoppe"
The cupcakes and adorable banner!
It was even topped off with a candy bar... how perfect!
Blake and I have been incredibly blessed with wonderful friends through our church family and Sunday school class. I cannot say that enough. They showered us with love, prayers, and some wonderful gifts for Caroline. We are really going to miss all of them so much. I know we will never find friends to take their place, but I pray that God blesses us with a new church home with some great couples too. Thank you to everyone who made this shower and last game night so much fun for us!! We will always remember it!
Along with both of our showers, we had a shower for James Robert and Leslie in Mobile. My dad took all the pictures so I don't have any to upload... but we had a great time!! There were a ton of people there... family, high school friends, lifelong family friends. It was such a fun time of catching up with everyone and celebrating baby Mattingly! :)
Miss anything? Nothing I can think of right now...
Movement: Oh yes! Mom got to feel Miss Caroline move for the first time which was so fun!!
Food Cravings: Sour punch straws (strawberry flavored). I could eat a big pack of them every day. Seriously. Haha!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Whenever I let my stomach get too empty, I start to feel a little queasy... so I try to just snack a little in between meals so I don't starve.
Gender: Girl!
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: I have to get up to use the restroom at night... usually just once so it isn't too bad, but definitely something new with pregnancy.
Belly button in or out? Oh goodness.... It is starting to poke out a little at the top now! Eeek! I knew this would come but didn't think it would be for awhile. So I will call it a "half in/out" right now!
Wedding rings on or off? Off
Looking forward to: Moving to Milton on Monday!! So much to do before then... I better get busy!!
